University of Texas Medical Branch RAD-AID Chapter

Our Origin

The UTMB RAD-AID team was established in November 2023 by Kyle Horton with the help of our faculty advisor, Dr. Arsalan Saleem.

Our Mission

We aim to improve and optimize access to medical imaging and radiology in low resource regions of the world whilst increasing radiology’s contribution to global health initiatives and patient care.

Current Partner Site

Rawalpindi Medical University (Pakistan)

  1. Recruitment of radiology technicians and training for nursing staff
  2. Equipment and training for initial ultrasound guided procedures with the hope to convert to CT guided procedures
  3. Establishment of an observer-ship at UTMB with the aims to train RMU technicians, nurses, and trainees
