Obstetric Point of Care Ultrasound in the Dominican Republic

RAD-AID’s initiatives and programs have been involved in providing support and education to midwives and skilled birth attendants for a number of years. RAD-AID is committed to supporting and mentoring midwives, skilled birth attendants, and women’s healthcare providers with a variety of skill sets.

An important focus of RAD-AID’s Midwifery and Women’s Point of Care Ultrasound Program is education designed to assure competency and effectiveness of the use of obstetric and women’s health point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). The use of a globally-vetted, sustainable training and certification process enables providers to offer enhanced care for vulnerable women and babies.
