Technologists and Therapists

If you are a radiologic technologist, sonographer, or radiation therapist, then the world needs you right now. Because of shortages of health workers with medical imaging backgrounds, there are billions of people without access to vital health care. You are invited to join RAD-AID teams to bring life-saving services to low-resource and underserved regions of the world.

Technologist Education in Kenya, 2022

RAD-AID is pleased to offer you multiple ways to give your skills and expertise to the poor and needy worldwide:

  • Apply as a Volunteer.
  • If you are a member of ASRT, RAD-AID and ASRT are collaborating to offer funded fellowship opportunities to work in the developing world in RAD-AID teams.
  • If you are a member of the Society of Radiographers (SoR) in the United Kingdom, RAD-AID and SoR are jointly offering funded fellowships for Diagnostic Radiographers, Therapeutic Radiographers, and Imaging Technologists to work in RAD-AID teams.
  • If you are a member of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists, RAD-AID and CAMRT are working together to award funded fellowships for radiological, nuclear medicine and magnetic resonance imaging technologists and radiation therapists.
  • If you are a member of Sonography Canada, RAD-AID and Sonography Canada are working together to award funded fellowships for sonographers to participate in RAD-AID programs.

The experience of working in a multidisciplinary team for RAD-AID around the world can be personally and professionally fulfilling as you learn about other cultures and health care systems to use your talents for improving global health.
