Quality and safety in diagnostic medical imaging are necessary components for optimal patient health outcomes and patient and personnel safety. The aim of the RAD-AID Quality and Safety program is to provide onsite and remote support and education to RAD-AID programs for building sustainable and quality CT and MRI services.
The program includes:
- Initial room design and installation
- Protocol building and optimization
- Radiation safety education and implementation (CT)
- MRI safety
- Quality assurance and control
- Contrast media education
- Development of departmental policies and procedures
In collaboration with our partner sites, we design a program that supports sustainable solutions for quality and safety throughout the department. In addition, we tailor our approach to the specific needs of partners relating to the quality and safety of CT and MRI services.
At this time, we are developing MRI Safety and Quality Assurance and CT Safety and Quality Assurance curricula. Our goal is to have an online curriculum accessible via our online learning center, which will be supplemented by onsite training if needed.
Volunteers are welcome to join the RAD-AID Quality and Safety program. For questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
