The 15th annual RAD-AID Conference on International Radiology and Global Health is now closed for registration. Our in-person conference event was held on Saturday, November 4th at George Washington University (Jack Morton Auditorium in the Media and Public Affairs Building at 805 21st Street, NW) in Washington DC.
This conference presents important topics and networking opportunities on global health outreach for radiology and radiation oncology in helping low and middle-income countries (LMICs) as well as medically underserved populations in high-income countries. Registration was FULL for in-person attendance.
Hybrid Conference
RAD-AID gave the option of virtual attendance for this year’s conference. Virtual attendees were still eligible for CME/CE credits.
The format of RAD-AID Conference included ~25 short 15-minute presentations and panel discussions with audience comments/Q&A on global health radiology topics from around the world, covering strategies for increasing and improving health equity. Conference attendees included physicians, radiologic technologists, radiation therapists, nurses, sonographers, medical physicists, IT-specialists, nonprofits/business managers, engineers, and public health specialists, for a robust interdisciplinary dialogue on global health equity.
Free breakfast and lunch were provided on-site, in addition to providing CME, CE, and Contact Hours for physicians, technologists, therapists, sonographers, and nurses, respectively. 8-12 credits were awarded to in-person and virtual participants. Additionally, RAD-AID Chapter Members were able to participate in an interactive roundtable discussion for chapter governance, projects, and development on Sunday, November 5th from 8:30am-12:30pm.
