Robert Dixon, MD, FSIR

Dr. Robert Dixon is a professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed his fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the University of North Carolina in 2004 and his residency in Radiology at the State University of New York, Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse in 2003. He served as faculty at UNC from 2004 through 2021, when he joined UAMS. His areas of interest include complex IVC filter removals, vertebral augmentation, endoleak repairs, oncologic interventions, hepatobiliary interventions, venous interventions, prostate artery embolization, medical education, global health and radiation safety. After facilitating the initiation of the UNC RAD-AID Chapter, he went on to assist with the creation of an Interventional Radiology Fellowship at the University of Nairobi in 2020.
Jyotsna Vitale, BSc, RDMS, RVT, RT(M), DSRR

Jyotsna Vitale was Director of Ultrasound and Breast Imaging services at UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles from 2001- 2022. She held the positions of Ultrasound Manager at Lawrence General Hospital, MA from 1994- 2001, Radiology Manager at Paracelsus Health from 1984-1987, and Ultrasound Manager at Paracelsus Health from 1988-1994. She completed her Radiology Technology training at St. Georges Hospital , School of Radiography in London, United Kingdom in 1976. She trained as a sonographer under Drs. Sample and Sarti at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center in Los Angeles and Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California in 1980. She graduated from Oregon Institute of Technology with BSVT in 1992. She has ARDMS credentials in Abdomen, OBGYN, Neurosonology, Breast and RVT. Her experience includes all aspects of sonography, General and Interventional Radiology and Mammography. She taught Breast Ultrasound and Vascular Technologist at Middlesex College, MA. She joined Rad-Aid international in 2023. She serves as the Program Manager for RAD-AID Kenya and assists with sonography training for Sonographers and Midwives in Grenada.
