RAD-AID: Radiology Serving the World

RAD-AID is an organization with a mission to promote and improve global health care by increasing the access to radiology services in developing regions. Our mission includes optimizing those imaging services for long-lasting sustainability by donating equipment, training personnel, provide financing to local health care providers, providing consultations for interpreting the images via teleradiology (electronic transmission of images for internet-based consultation and interpretation), providing technology for improved transmission and management of images, and collecting data to study and perfect the use of imaging in limited-resource environments.
