2022 Education Mission to Uganda–September 20-29, 2022–Focus on MSK and Body MRI
University of Utah Global Resident Lectures–Beginning in August 2022 the U of U radiology residency started sharing 3-4 selected lectures from our world renowned faculty teach our residents with the Makerere University Radiology Residency in Kampala, Uganda. Dr. Amanda Crawford (MSK Imaging)
-2021 Taught at the Association of Radiologists in Uganda 2021 Annual Congress.
-2022 Traveling to Kampala Uganda to teach Musculoskeletal MRI to Makerere residents and faculty.
-2011 Co-Organizer Rural Medical Clinic and Orthopedic Surgical Mission, Guiamaca, Honduras
-2010 Founded “Tybee Beach Run”, present day “Hustle for Honduras” 5k to raise funds for Medical Mission work in Honduras.
-2008 Volunteer/Medical Spanish Apprenticeship at Pediatric Hospital Garrahan, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Dr. Dell Dunn (Acute Care Imaging) has built an educational partnership with Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda.
-2021 Travelled to provide over 20 hours of lecture and case sets to Makerere residents and faculty. Served as a Makerere residency board examiner.
-2021 Taught at the Association of Radiologists in Uganda 2021 Annual Congress.
-2022 Traveling to Kampala Uganda to teach Trauma Imaging to Makerere residents and faculty.
Trainees
- The University of Utah Radiology Residency offers a two-week elective global radiology rotation for senior residents in Uganda that provides trainees with experience practicing radiology in a resource-limited environment with a diverse array of patient pathology. Trainees will also give didactic lectures to Ugandan radiology residents and consultants.
