How You Can Help

We welcome you to become part of RAD-AID as a growing global organization of advocates for medical technology in low resource regions.

Eastern Virginia Medical School RAD-AID Chapter

Welcome to EVMS RAD-AID, the RAD-AID chapter of Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.

The Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) RAD-AID Chapter was formed in 2022, by interested resident and attending radiologists affiliated with EVMS.  We are open to all students, technologists, residents, and faculty associated with EVMS or our local hospitals who are interested in global health imaging outreach.

Our philosophy mirrors that of RAD-AID, and EVMS:  Community Focus. World Impact.  For our first steps into global health imaging outreach, we have been remotely sharing our morning conferences with the radiology residents at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC) in Moshi, Tanzania. We are excited to work further with Dr. Arlene Richardson, the Program Director or RAD-AID Tanzania to identify further ways to support these residents.

To follow Dr. Richardson’s recent trip to Tazania, please see her video blog: Dr. Richardson’s KCMC Trip.
