Brian Loe is a radiologist working in Okotoks, Alberta, Canada in private practice. He completed medical school and radiology residency at the University of Alberta, and he obtained a B.Sc. (Honors) in Biochemistry from the University of Calgary. Dr. Loe’s first exposure to global health was as a volunteer with RAD-AID Liberia in 2018. On the leadership team of RAD-AID Liberia, he works to support volunteers and to establish education goals that support optimal radiology use at partner sties in Monrovia.
Leslie Aja, RDMS: AB, OB/GYN, PS; RVT; RMSKS
Program Manager, RAD-AID Liberia
Leslie a registered sonographer with over 20 years of clinical ultrasound experience. She currently serves as the Inteleos Clinical Content Specialist for the APCA RMSK and ARDMS PS and MSKS exams, alongside her role as a Clinical Ultrasound Educator in the regenerative medicine field. A long-standing passion for global health and education has driven her involvement in international medical missions since high school. Since joining RAD-AID in 2019, she has had the privilege to contribute to programs in both Appalachia and Liberia. What drew her to RAD-AID is the focus on building sustainable, in-country radiology education models rather than short-term clinical outreach, creating lasting meaningful impact to the communities we work with. As a program manager for Liberia, she works with the radiologists and obstetric nurses on advancing ultrasound imaging in Monrovia and coordinates volunteer recruitment for medical missions.
Khammany Douangsavanh, RT(R))(CT)(ARRT)
Program Manager, RAD-AID Liberia
Khammany is an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist based in Central Valley California. In 2019, she embarked on her first global health outreach volunteering with RAD-AID’s program in Liberia. Through continued volunteering endeavors, she finds her core goals align with RAD-AID’s mission. As Program Manager of RAD-AID Liberia, Khammany aims to promote radiology in Monrovia by improving accessibility, increasing imaging education, and radiation safety.
