Susan Weinberg, M.D., F.A.C.R.

Dr. Susan Weinberg is a graduate of Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland. She completed her residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Cincinnati where she served as Chief Resident.  She is a board certified diagnostic radiologist and a Fellow in the American College of Radiology.  She was an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Cincinnati before entering the private practice of radiology at Bethesda Hospital in Cincinnati.  At Bethesda, she served as the Chair of the Department of Radiology for nearly 20 years.

Dr. Weinberg developed and pursued an interest in Women’s and Advanced Imaging early in her career. She was the founder and first, long standing Medical Director of the Mary Jo Cropper Family Center for Breast Care, a comprehensive breast health center, which today serves the breast health needs of nearly 70,000 Greater Cincinnati area women. She was the key physician organizer of the annual Mary Jo Cropper Celebration of Angels which generated 2.5 million dollars in grants and donations for breast center research and projects.

Dr. Weinberg was the first female president of the Greater Cincinnati Academy of Medicine. She has served as the President of the Greater Cincinnati Radiologic Society, and was the founder and medical director of Optimal Medical Imaging.

She has served on several boards including but not limited to Susan G. Komen, the American Cancer Society, Bethesda Foundation, Bethesda Consolidated Services, the Cincinnati Academy of Medicine Foundation, the Cabo Verdean American Medical Society and RAD-AID.

Dr. Weinberg has authored multiple articles and research studies in peer reviewed journals, written book chapters, published and run CME courses and has participated in several TV and radio presentations. She has been honored as a Health Care Hero, Top Doctor, and Bethesda Physician of the Year. She has served as an art docent at the Cincinnati Art Museum. Dr. Weinberg retired from her full time diagnostic radiology practice in Cincinnati in 2019 and presently serves as a Breast Seal for Rad Partners.
