RAD-AID Conference

Audience Q/A & Discussion, RAD-AID Conference

The 2025 RAD-AID Conference was held on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 in Washington, D.C.

Each year since 2009, RAD-AID holds a conference on international radiology and global health equity to cultivate dialog and solutions to worldwide healthcare disparities. Our annual conference is an opportunity to hear short presentations on RAD-AID programs from over 40 countries on building and sustaining life-saving radiology and radiation oncology services for those in need. You can also network with other radiology and medical imaging professionals at our forum on global health equity topics.

RAD-AID Conference stage podium & panel table

RAD-AID Conference brings together nongovernmental humanitarian organizations, academic medical centers, government, and businesses with individuals of all backgrounds such as medical specialists, radiology professionals, public health officials, technology engineers, economists, etc., in order to discuss ways to increase and improve radiology for medically underserved populations. You can review our prior year conference summaries.

Conference presentations include global community service programs, educational methods, clinical imaging strategies, economic development, technology innovations, and public health approaches for building radiology in low-resource communities. Themes and topics are also intended for interested residents, students, practicing health personnel, and health care administrators/leaders.  Each presentation and panel discussion has interactive audience Q/A. Poster presentations, technology demonstrations, and program information-tables are accessible to you during RAD-AID Conference so that you can directly talk with our program leaders and partners.  We provide CME, CE, and Contact Hours credits for physicians, radiologic technologists/sonographers, and nurses, respectively (pending approval from the accreditation entities), in which past RAD-AID Conferences offered 8-12 credits for a full day of educational presentations.

Every year, RAD-AID offers the opportunity for attendees to learn about global health radiology projects. Oral and poster presentations occur during blocks of time prior to the conference start, during conference breaks, and over the lunchtime period. These presentations are given in the lobby, outside the auditorium and on the lower level of the conference location. 2022 Chapters Roundtable Discussion

The annual meeting also enables RAD-AID Chapter members to meet and discuss projects through a small-group meeting format. There is a dedicated RAD-AID Chapters Roundtable on the Sunday after the conference for half-day session to discuss chapter strategies, grants, and project opportunities.  To learn more about RAD-AID’s Chapters Network, click here.
