Brian Martell is a radiological technologist at the Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences from Dalhousie University and a Masters of Health Studies from Athabasca University. He is currently the Director of Diagnostic Imaging (DI) Operations in the Central Zone of the NSHA. Brian has been a technologist for 27 years and has a wide range of experience within Diagnostic Imaging from a front-line technologist, quality control technologist and an administrator for the last 15 years. He has also worked in Human Resources from 2010-2011 as a consultant dealing with multiple human resources issues. He joined RAD-AID in June 2018 as an equipment procurement consultant and has developed a Procurement Checklist to assist RAD-AID members when dealing with purchasing DI equipment and negotiating equipment service contracts.
