General Programs Manager
Kayiba Medlen, MPH, RT(R)(M)
As the General Programs Manager for RAD-AID International, Kayiba Medlen serves as key managerial staff for designing, strategizing and implementing RAD-AID projects all over the world, including Latin America, Caribbean, Africa and Asia. Kayiba has extensive experience in medical imaging and patient care, with specialized experience in radiography and mammography as a board certified radiologic technologist. Kayiba holds an Associate's degree from Montgomery College in Radiologic Technology, a Bachelor of Sciences in Healthcare Administration from Columbia Union College, and a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) from Benedictine University.
Before joining RAD-AID, Kayiba served as an intern in the Pan American Health Organization of the World Health Organization (WHO/PAHO) in the Department of Radiological Health. As a consultant, Kayiba conducted WHO/PAHO assessments of post-earthquake devastated Haiti in collaboration with Haiti’s Minister of Health to distribute equipment donated by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Following that consultancy, Kayiba joined RAD-AID as a Global Health Fellow during her graduate public health training to work on RAD-AID’s learning management system (LMS) for internet-based distance learning and contributed to RAD-AID’s textbook on international radiology for the developing world. Kayiba has been instrumental in building the collaboration between WHO/PAHO and RAD-AID for expanding the Radiology-Readiness program and implementing global radiology services.
